Having car problems is very stressful when you don't know much about it. When I went to the shop they evaluated what needed to be done and answered all of my questions. They gained my trust and in return I will be a loyal customer.
Took my '93 Suburban in to have the transmission fluid changed and front end aligned. They diagnosed that the ball joints needed replaced (which I had been told by another shop, but was hoping it wasn't critical) before it could be aligned. I bit the bullet and had them do it (BTW - cheaper than the first shop I went to) and had them do some additional work while it was there (compression test, idle air control valve replacement). They kept me in the loop during the entire process and were very helpful and patient during our discussion and my questions as I didn't want to put a ton of money into a vehicle with 350K miles on it. The rig runs better and steers better than it has in years and I'm hoping to get several more years out of it. It's always great when you can tell the difference in how your car runs after getting it back from a shop. I am very happy to have found a place that was honest, fair and communicative. I will be using them in the future and I HIGHLY recommend them.
Not really a lot more to say, I go back to Gateway because they are good. There are only so many ways to say that. This is a new, Dodge Ram 3500, first service. I took it to Bill at Gateway because they are good, I trust them. I highly recommend them. Bob

honest and straight forward
I really don't know for sure yet, because I haven't driven my car that much, but right now, so far, it's at a five star rating. I will add more later if I can and, hopefully, it will be all good.
As a repeat customer I depend on honest answers when choosing a mechanic shop. I also expect shops, perhaps a bit naive of me, to care about "my" wallet as well as their own. I'm happy to say both of the above can be found at Car Care Clinic in Mt. Vernon.
The crew at the Oak Harbor location is great! They are knowledgeable, and explain everything that they are doing and what needs to be done. I wouldn't go anywhere else and I live almost 3 hours away!
Dave, Charles, and the team at Gateway Oak Harbor are the best I've found in 20 years of looking for reliable mechanics. They make me feel like a pilot whose got the best ground crew around. The new office is very nice, and the parking is easy.
I am always very pleased with the service that I receive. My 🚘 is always nice and clean when I get it back.
